Trends in the Incidence and Survival of Intracerebral Hemorrhage in Japan, which has been high aging population.
Less invasive endoscopic hematoma evacuation technique
I would like to introduce the current status of intra cerebral hemorrhage (ICH) in Japan. I will focus the trend of ICH studied based on the reliable cohort study. In our country, putaminal hemorrhage has decreased. Otherwise, the proportions of thalamic, subcortical, and pontine hemorrhage increased with time. Several risk factors might be considered to be involved in these trends as follows; hypertension, alcohol intake, and aging.
Recently, the endoscopic surgery has been spreading as one of the surgical options in Japan. I will introduce the endoscopic technique for each location of ICH.
